You can't help someone if you don't see that they need help.

So it's Christmas time and everyone is out shopping, can't front me too. I was at the mall the other day and I though to myself, It’s amazing how much is being spent this time of year. Please give to a charity or someone in need this year. Here is why I say that. I recently did my last concert for the year, on my home I stopped at a gas station and saw two hungry little kids, begging.Couldn't have been more than 15 yrs old. I asked them what were they gonna do with the money. The little kid said "you dont have to give us money, just buy us a meal."Broke my heart.
I look at my life and I grateful to God that I was in a position to help them, and also to tell them about Jesus. I’m hurt when I sometimes lose focus and chase after the wrong things. I have to remind myself of what God really wants me to do. That’s when everything that we think is so important looks so worthless and God begins to show you His heart. You can't help people if you never see that they need help. We can be blinded at times to the fact that this world needs help. If you saw a little child in the mall lost you would do anything to help that child find their parents. We pass by lost people all the time and never help them find God The Father.
Father forgive me for every word that I have ever said that displeased You. Forgive me for everything that I was going after that wasn't your will. I want to thank you Lord for every door you have closed. I couldn't see why You kept it from me, but now I do. Thank You Lord for my Gifting. But Lord I know men applaud Gifting, but You oh Lord applaud integrity and character. So Lord please give me grace to live what I preach. Let me indeed live what I rap.
God Bless you Believers. Remember we are the Church. Our builder is Jesus Christ Himself. The Gates of hell will never prevail. R.I.C.H.

"There is only one thing worth being concerned with."

What concerns you today? What are you working so hard to achieve? And more importantly Why? Sometimes we can be working so hard, that our work can become a distraction from what is really important. After all we live in a culture that defines success by possessions. So we work hard to gain a benz or a bentley. A MTV Crib..They say when you have those things you have
"arrived".. But what has happened is that our society has people working so hard to obtain a life that does not guarantee happiness. We have become a people who are always trying to get.. You hear it in our talk.. "Yo Son I'm on my Grind," " Yo fam I'm Doing my thing kid," "I'm getting my paper." Even in the church, so many of us are doing the Lords work and we don't even spend time with the Lord of the work.. We do this cause we want people to think we are successful.. But who cares what people thinks? Do you?

Jesus was passing through with His disciples and stopped in Martha's house.. Martha was so concerned about making sure every detail in the house was correct. After all in that society, that was the role of the women. That's what gave her worth. The fact that she is able to take care of her home in excellence.. But she noticed that her sister Mary was not helping.. Martha got tight.(Angry).. Mary was sitting at Jesus' feet and listening to Him speak.. Martha was so angry that instead of talking to Mary she asked her guest Jesus to correct Mary.. LOL.. I could understand Martha wanting to make sure everything is right for Jesus. After all this is the King Of Kings.. This is no ordinary man...What would Jesus say if He came to your house and it was'nt in order? But thats the point.. Jesus came to us because we are not in order.. If we could, on our own fix every detail in life there would be no need for Him.. Our life is chaotic. And we make it worst by thinking we could fix it on our own..By thinking if I get this Car, this Wife/Husband, this House, ( and these things are good) but they will never fill the emptiness that we feel. They will never satisfy.. They will never conquer sin in your life.

Mary got the revelation.. All her life she was probably concerned about details. Now she met Jesus and realize that all of those things cannot satisfy.. I could imagine when JESUS begun to speak how it caused her to stop whatever she was doing.. Why? She was hearing words of life that spoke to her spirit and brought what was dead back to life.. And immediately all that she thought was necessary for her to do, didn't seem that important as sitting at the masters feet.. She got it. And if you get this, for the first time you will be set free from the pressure that society place on you to achieve their definition of success. You will start to see that above all the accomplishments there is only one thing that truely satisfies and that is to sit at The Master's feet..

Martha tried to put this pressure back on Mary but Jesus stopped her...The bible called Martha's housework a distraction..Why? Because imagine Jesus came to your house, but you were so busy that He left and you realize that you didn't get a chance to talk to Him or hear what He had to say. You were too busy..We should be concerned about one thing, sitting at Jesus' feet and listening to what He has to say.

NEW LIVING TRANSLATION.. LUKE 10

40 But Martha was distracted by the big dinner she was preparing. She came to Jesus and said, “Lord, doesn’t it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while I do all the work? Tell her to come and help me.”
41 But the Lord said to her, “My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details! 42 There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.”

God Bless..

Don't Look Down On Us...by Lamar Gibbs

For the past few days and actually last week, God just keeps bringing up this issue of us as youth being looked down upon. I've discussed with friends and family about the wide gap between the older generation and the younger generation. The cultural divide is one that often separates the kids from the parents, who often dismiss what they don't understand, or worse, demonize it.

The world that we live in today is nothing like the generations that have went before us. There are so many questions brought up on many issues that the writers in the Bible did not have to deal with(Bio-ethics: stem cell research, genetically altered foods), and wasn't expected to since in the context of the revelation of God, it was made relevant to them, yet timeless to us so that we can take the principles given throughout Scripture and paint a framework. The confusion of people's sexuality and even how to deal with those lusts are pushed upon this generation and whatever answer falls out its easily taken. People are like children, tossed to and fro by New Age doctrines and postmodern relativism, all the while questioning with the same question Satan asked Eve, "Did God really say?"

The problem is worse when adults assume that the youth are supposed to be living in confusion and that they only are to start living in wisdom when they are older and the cycle is continued generation after generation. The phrase is "They are young, let them live life, you only get one". God has created everyone of us with an ability to worship and remember our Creator by living in wisdom and the light of His Word. Ecclesiastes 12:1 says to, "Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil(or difficult) days come." Jesus Christ is our example in every way of living and He grew up in wisdom as a Child and the grace of God was upon Him(some wonder why Jesus' childhood wasn't explained in detailed, well, because you honestly don't need to know, He grew up in wisdom and God's grace was upon Him and no fault was found in Him). Jesus studied God's Word, He didn't recite them just because He is God, although He could have done that. He went as a human to live among us, and that is why He is acquainted with our situations and sufferings, because Jesus went through it and sinned not, because the grace of God was with Him(Luke 2:40).

I believe that Satan uses the way that we are looked down upon to attack us as youth because the wisdom from the older isn't grasped in a way that is accessible and communicable to them, and often times the older generation is unable to understand the communication needed to get the youth and is often left alone, which is seen by the many youth departments throughout America, from Pentecostal to Evangelical.

Let no one despise your youth(1 Timothy 4:12), and live your life to the glory of Christ, knowing His wisdom so that you may resist temptation, and please learn how to apply God throughout your life, Israel had to do it, Jesus' disciples had to do it, and you do to. Let His word be a lamp to your feet and a light in your path and when you seek God, His grace is on those that do. he delights in those who serve Him, so like Allstate, "Are you in good hands?" lol. God Bless people, let no one despise your youth.

*P.S. To the older generation. There are gifts that the youth have in your churches and if you never give them the opportunity to use them, and only let them preach a sermon on "Youth Sunday" it will go to use somewhere else, and you will lose this generation if you continue to look down on what they can do. let them be ushers, let some people design flyers and form street teams to give out flyers that they have made, with the new technology that is out today, chances are they know about it!

One thing that is most important is that you draw it out of them, as leaders. Some of the youth know they have a gift but often times don't know how to come and show it or would never talk with their leaders. Leaders you must reach out and draw from the well of their capacity so that God may be glorified.

Why Am I Rushing? by TWyse

While me and my wife were sitting on the plane I looked out the window and I began to ask The Lord to speak to me. All I wanted at that time was for the Lord to show me something new. One thing that I have grown to understand about God is if you ask, often times you will receive. So while the plane was lowering, God began to focus my attention on the landscape, all the buildings, and even the cars that were on the highways. Then He said to me: Imagine taking a camera out right now because you saw a mountain or a piece of land that just blew your mind. God then said: you would have so much time to get a good picture of it because it looks like the plane is not moving at all when in all actuality the plane is going about 500 to 600 hundred mph.

God wasn't done making His point......

Then He told me to imagine this same scenario, but from a trains perspective. He said: if you tried to take a picture of something you seen by the time you get your camera out the thing that you saw will be gone. But think about it; the train is going two times slower than the plane.

Here's Gods point......

Once God made His point, the tears rolled down my face as I was holding my wife's hand. He said when you do things your way that's the train perspective it looks like your going faster, but your actually going two times slower than you would be going if you let me take you My way. He said the reason my way looks slower is because I just want you to have the opportunity to get snap shots, and mental pictures of where I brought you from to where im taking you. I want you to see all of the mountains I have shaped and all the lands that I own. I want you to see the cattle on a thousand hills, I want you to see the highways that are really low-ways because My way is the highway.

My Prayer:
Father we need you today, we need you so bad daddy! All we ask today is can you help us to wait patiently on you. We have tried to make it so many other ways and then include you in on it, but Dad..... that was our will and way, but we want yours now so Dad make us hunger for you again. Dad make us thirsty again for your namesake. Father navigate us throughout this life that what we do and say will be pleasing unto you. We thank you Dad for loving us despite of us. Let your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Amen

Think about this: We are not patient with God, but He has been soooooo patient with us. TWyse

TWyse

Life More Abundantly. by R.I.C.H.

Have you ever heard people say "the devil tried to destroy my car, "the devil tried to destroy my house," or "the devil is messing with my money." Does the devil really want anybody's car, money or house? When tragedy strikes like the lost of finances, house or a car, is the enemy really trying to steal the car or is there something bigger that he is after? He is after something bigger. He is after the intangible things. Things like your joy, your peace, your faith in God. He wants to plant seeds of doubt in your mind. He wants you to think that God is not watching over you. His ultimate goal is to destroy the "trust relationship" between you and your God. This is why it is important that our Joy does not come from material things, because when we loose them we will become easily discouraged. The enemy can easily use a situation to distract us. John 10:10 says "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."
Make no mistakes the thief wants to obliterate you. In 2 Corinthians 2 Paul discusses an issue and then when he gets to verse 11 he says "Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices." Don't be ignorant of the devices and schemes of Satan. Don't allow your circumstance to blur your vision of your God. The thief is ultimately trying to steal Gods truth from your life. He has been trying to steal God's truth since the Garden of Eden. Don't be deceived by any negative thoughts or words that would make you doubt God today. Let's pay attention to the second part of the verse in John 10:10. Jesus said "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."What does this mean? How can one have life more abundantly? The verse is a contrast, While the thief desires to destroy you, Jesus came to do the opposite. He came to save you. Save you from sin, death, the devil, the world, flesh (ourselves.) The believers walk is a walk of faith not sight. So the believers should only be moved by Gods word. As a believer when situations arises and thoughts of discouragement and despair begins to enter. You begin to feel your flesh start to call for old habits. Living life to the fullest is to overcome sin in that moment, crucify flesh, submit to God, resist the devil. Instead of the circumstance dictating what you should do, you begin to trust God. Discouragement has to go, you begin to get joy and Peace that the holy spirit gives. You are now living life how God intended. Free from the control of sin. Non-Believers don't understand freedom in Christ. The thief has robbed them. They don't know the shepherds voice. They turn to drugs, clubs, immoral acts and all sorts of things to fix themselves. They allow circumstances to dictate to them how they should live. If they need more money they steal, depressed, they use drugs, lonely they find one night flings. The believer does have trials and tribulations but we don't have to let the circumstances tell us what to do. We don't have to fall into to pits of despair and discouragement. When you trust God one hundred percent you will be blessed in this life and in the one to come. If you are His sheep you know His voice. I believe that the thief has stolen some things from us. Like David's story in the book of 1 Samuel 30. Don't quit. The Bible says that in midst of David's tragedy he encouraged himself in the Lord His God. The story ends with David recovering all the enemy had taken from him. Don't give up. Tell the thief to get out your home, don't listen to the enemies lies. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Let God be God today...

Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, JUDE 1:24. He is able to keep you..
